Rafe Hollister

Rafe Hollister comes from the Blue Ridge Mountains here in Asheville N.C.

The band is experienced performing at weddings, festivals, bars and other events across the region.

Rafe Hollister is also an established touring band, with a growing fan base.

The Rafe Hollister Band was born in 2005 in the mountains of Maggie Valley, N.C.

They do many popular country and bluegrass cover songs as well as original material.

After a year of rehearsing and recording, the final line-up came together.

The members are:

Sam Brinkley- Lead Vocals/Drums/Guitar
Jeff Mendenhall- Fiddle
Brooks Butler- Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals
Joseph Massie- Bass/Backing Vocals
Mark Moser- Mandolin
with special guests:
Marty Lewis and brothers from Son’s of Ralph.
Woody Wood and many more…

Most of the band members spent their early years in rock bands which now gives Rafe their own unique style that they call “Mountain Rock.”

The music has also been described as new grass because of the way they use traditional bluegrass instruments to create their roots rock sound.

The new album entitled “Stimulus Package” is an eclectic mix of original songs ranging from bluegrass, rock, folk, blues, punk and country.

These guys are guaranteed to show you a rockin’ good time and get you movin’.
